Larry's House of Cakes

Asked for a cake to be made for daughter's birthday. Took in a picture and they said it wouldn't be a problem they can draw it in the cake no big deal. Picked up the cake and it looked horrible. The image was bad, as was the writing. If they weren't able to do it, they should have simply called and let us know. First picture is what we showed them and the image was left with them. The second picture is what we picked up.

I picked up my cake from Larry’s House of Cakes on September 15th. The appearance was visually appealing, and the cake itself was moist and had great flavor, which I truly appreciated. However, there were a few areas of concern. The amount of icing was excessive, which threw off the balance of the cake. While I enjoy a good amount of frosting, it felt overwhelming in proportion to the cake itself. Additionally, the layers were uneven — the top and bottom layers were noticeably different in size, which affected both the presentation and the overall eating experience. I had specifically requested cannoli filling, but there was very little included, which was disappointing given my expectations. Very nice customer service. We decided last minute to get cupcakes for our grand daughters birthday. Even though we didn't pre-order we were taken care of and a few moments later we wer walking out the door. The y were a hit at the birthday. Thank you Larry's House of Cakes. We will be sharing with everyone!

We picked up half a dozen cupcakes from their display case. The filling for the peanut butter cupcakes tasted completely vile. It has an off taste, almost like cigarette smoke. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot understate how AWFUL it was. The chocolate cupcakes with the white icing also tasted way too salty. The cake part tasted okay, but the icing was so overly salty it was gross.

Larry's House Of Cakes made our chocolate covered strawberry wedding cake and it was delicious. We didn't pay a lot for it either. Thank you Larry's for being a part of our special day.
