Lido Kosher Delicatessen

I actually causes me pain me to cast animus on an establishment whose fare, milieu, and personality are becoming increasingly rare on Long Island . . . but . . . We have family in LB and have been somewhat frequent diners in the restaurant and more so taking out. While our experiences have been mostly unnoteworthy, on Tuesday evening we stopped in and ordered approximately $150.00 in take-out for four people. A quart of split-pea soup was hot, thick,and very tasty with the croutons conveniently on the side.very good. A Meshugana hero, very nice. The latkes were slightly overdone but nicely crispy, and flavorful. We specifically asked for Russian and mustard on the side. Neither was provided. Plastic flatware for an army, however, was dumped in with our order. We did receive a few so

Visited here last night off the recommendation from a food influencer friend of mine in Long Beach. I was really in the mood for a Corned Beef or a Brisket sandwich but I couldn’t not visit here for their famous Pastrami Sandwich. Ordered with lettuce and onion, Russian sauce on the side. Fell in love after one bite. I’ve never eaten Pastrami (wasn’t my preference growing up) but this changed my mind entirely. I can’t even compare the freshness of the cuts with the bread and sauce combined. I’ll be back next week to try the Corned Beef or the Brisket most definitely.

recieved on gold belly as a gift .I would highly recommend. usually I feel delivered frozen sucks.. however the corned beef and.pastrami second to none. the coleslaw best ever the Russian dressing best ever . pickles best knish worth it with that alone .wow! the matzo balls were average but maybe I didnt heat long enough? the selection of rugulah maybe 5 choices were great and sweet but not too sweet. all food was delivered fresh with 0 complaints..im very impressed-

Amazing deli, their sandwiches are stacked and delicious. The “Sandwich that Made us Famous” is simple and loaded, the latkes appetizer is great value, and the matzoh ball soup was classic.

Ohh where to begin Well we go here EVERY TIME we are in the area My wife gets her turkey on rye with her sides, I get my pastrami on rye with side of sauerkraut and other sides. BUT while waiting we have the best kosher hot dog in ALL OF NY. Loaded! Yummmy Then we take our sandwiches, knishes, salads back to where we are staying and feast. Yes it takes dinner and lunch the next day to finish but it’s so well worth every bite. The sandwiches are truly made the old fashioned way like a certain place in NYC would but out here and actually tastier having had both side by side. Salami goes to NYC for the win, but everything else Lido has a lock on. Cannot wait to see you again for the summer. This year prepare some Kreplach for me too. lol Thank you Lido!
