Cute little cafe! Appreciate that you can have non breakfast food in the morning and there are vegetarian options. We had breakfast tamales and they were full of flavor and still light enough to go about walking or hiking. Enjoyed a hot cup of organic peppermint tea and played cards while finishing up our beverages.
Best New Mexican Breakfast in Town! Absolutely incredible experience at Legacy Cafe! We came for breakfast and left completely blown away. I had the red chili pork tamales plate with scrambled eggs - perfection on a plate! My partner got the baked egg plate with green chili and couldn’t stop raving about it. Jake is hands down the most welcoming host you’ll meet, AND he makes a seriously mean latte. Chef Simon’s talent shines through in every bite - you can tell you’re eating food made by someone who truly knows their craft. The atmosphere is just as special as the food - love the decor and all the historic photos throughout. So much character! This is the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. 5 stars all the way - we’ll definitely be back! Thank you Jake and Simon fo
This place deserves more than 5 stars! The hostess is so kind, cute and comfortable interior, love the art in the bathroom, the Americanos, AND delicious breakfast! I had the baked eggs with “Christmas” chile (both green and red), the best chile I’ve ever had! My husband had the Tamale plate and was equally impressed. Thank you Legacy Cafe!
My wife and I stopped here after visiting Taos Pueblo. It's a very nice low key cafe with a nice atmosphere. They have a small, but very diverse menu. The turkey panini, green chile stew, and the casa benavides baked eggs where very good. Free refrills on the coffee is always apreciated. Nice freindly staff. Very budget freindly.
Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: A Honestly this was one of my favorite meals in Taos. The kitchen seemed a little backed up and chaotic but the crew were nice as could be. My smothered burrito came out not smothered at all but they fixed it. The green chile sauce was the best. Not spicy but full of flavor. The perfect complement to the tortilla filled with breakfast goodness. And the tea was great too.
