La Tonalteca - Milford DE

Stopped at La Tonalteca in Milford on our way home from the Delaware beaches and it was so good. It is an easy stop right along Route 113, we loved the decor, and the service was fast and friendly. The margaritas and fajitas were great, and the chorizo queso was unreal. We will definitely be back.

Came across this family friendly, authentic, cultural and unique restaurant during my travels for work. I was greeted very quickly with a warm smile. My Server name was Raina, she made me feel so comfortable and welcome like family. ( I have been here around 4 times in 2 weeks). I had so many options to choose from. They offer free chips and dip too and, my food came out Hot & Fresh every time. If you want to just chill at the bar or have a seat with your drink. This is the place to be for a cool vibe.

My mother and I ate here last night. We were so excited to try it and the food was fine not good or great. It was fine. The service was horrible. I felt like our server didn’t want to wait on us. My mother and I are both servers ourselves so I feel like we were giving a lot of grace to her, I will note that we were the only Black people in the restaurant so maybe she thought she wouldn’t get a good tip based off of stereotypes so she didn’t feel the need to serve us well I don’t know

Had 3 tacos al pastor, they were decent enough. A little too high on price for them ($14). Family had enchilada, it was bland, didnt eat much of it. Sides, refried beans and rice, were decent as well. Overall, nothing for flavor stood out.

The place is COLORFUL! It's what you expect to see in Mexico! And, you do, just not as much! The menu is huge. We enjoyed the enchiladas, beef burrito, and chili relleno. However, I wouldn't get the relleno again. There was a flavor in the sauce I wasn't fond of. The beef burrito was big enough to feed 4! Or MORE! DEFINITELY a place to go! It will brighten your mood.
