LA HACIENDA RESTAURANT

La Hacienda Restaurant was… okay, but the service definitely needs work. Came in midday for lunch, got bread but no appetizer plates to actually eat it on, which was kinda odd. The food itself was decent, no complaints there, but the service just didn’t match the vibe a restaurant should have. I was only checked on once, and after I finished eating I sat there for like 15 minutes waiting for someone to walk by so I could pay. Ended up having to go up to the front myself. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely not one I’m rushing back for unless the service improves.

After reading some of the previous reviews, I honestly feel they don’t reflect the experience I’ve had here. The staff has been the complete opposite of what some comments describe — they are friendly, attentive, and truly service-oriented. The first time I visited, I was helped by a Colombian server with black hair who was incredibly kind and charismatic. I was so impressed with both the service and the food that I decided to come back. On my second visit, I returned with friends and family, and once again received outstanding service — this time from the same server and another blonde Colombian server. Love the food/service here! The staff is always very friendly, the food is always delicious (my personal favs are the lomo saltado, taco salad, and the sweet plantains), and they have a great happy hour during the week! Would highly recommend. 10/10

I used to order from here pretty regularly. However, the price for the item I purchased increased exponentially by almost 100%. A small seafood soup that went from like $10 to then $14 is now $22. Twenty two dollars for a small soup! I go to Michelin star restaurants and their soup doesn't cost $22. Twenty two dollars!!! The large is $32. Yep, you read that right. They should probably consider removing it entirely. Who is paying over $20 for broth and seafood pieces? I will never and I have good money. That kind of markup on an item is borderline immoral. I pass all the way.

We stumbled upon this little place in Stamford. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The Mexican rice and beans are the best I’ve had in Fairfield county! The meat literally fell out of the tacos, fries were crisp and my burrito was tasty! They served fresh toasted bread to start and the sauces were so yummy! They also offered fresh squeezed orange juice. 🥰Friendly attentive staff. We were so happy and look forward to coming back!
