La Bamba Grill 2

La Bamba is one of our favorite places to go in town. You’re always greeted by a smile and the service is a match to that. Everyone who works here goes above and beyond to make sure your meal os delicious from beginning to end. My sister and I always talk about this is our place we go to yap and enjoy food we know always has flavor and is made with love. The music is always going and the vibes are always up. We’re lucky to have so many great places in Boonton to eat but La Bamba is definitely in the top 5.

I'm a Southern California native who grew up with Mexican cuzine, so I can be picky when presented with Central American influenced "Mexican" food. La Bamba Grill was for me exactly right. My companion & I shared soft tacos, an order each of fish and shredded chicken. Both sets of four were fresh, well prepared, and well seasoned. The salzas served with them were mild but flavorful. The sides of rice and black bean frijoles were also perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of smokiness in the beans The restaurant was formally a small diner, making it cosy and comfortable with cheerful decorations. Winter sun streaming in the windows coupled with a cheerful and relaxed hostess made for a very pleasant meal.

Such a hidden gem! It’s a small spot, but super authentic once you’re inside. The vibe is really cute and totally photo-worthy. The food was amazing and super affordable—the flan was so good! The staff were super friendly and really attentive too.

I’ve been coming to this building since it was a diner, and it’s amazing to see it reimagined so beautifully. What used to be a classic 1950s railcar diner is now a vibrant Latin restaurant. And it's amazing! The building still has railcar charm, but now it’s filled with color, music, and energy. The food is generous, flavorful, and consistently great. Service is friendly and attentive. Feels authentic. It's not fancy, not a chain, just genuinely good food. One of my favorite spots!

This was my second time dining at La Bamba Grill and I must say that this place is one of the coolest restaurants I have visited. It’s very obvious how much love goes into every dish before it is delivered to your table and once you take your first bite you will be a believer. The service on this occasion was a 10/10 and all the credit goes to Yuri who was our server and Leydi who assisted. These 2 young ladies are some of the most authentic people I have encountered. You can tell how much they love what they do and that is a testament to the owners because they have to be treating their employees very well for them to be smiling like they do. Lastly the decor is one of a kind. You can tell a lot of thought went into the layout and the design of this place.
