Krispy Krunchy Chicken

I first tried KKC a year ago and was blown away by how a gas station could make such juicy tender chicken strips, tasty biscuits and decent sides for a reasonable price. Fast forward to 3-6 months ago, and my recent two experiences were very disappointing. One time my chicken was lukewarm and my biscuits were super hard like rocks. My potato wedges were cold. Another time the chicken was warm and juicy, but the biscuits were again rock hard and had to throw them away. I hope they can improve their execution but I won’t be back unless I’m convinced they improved.

If you’re in here for more than 30 seconds you will smell like greasy fried food for a long time. I had to air out my jackets a few times and purposely avoid this spot

The food is pretty good considering it's based inside a gas station. It's a chain not independent. The fried chicken is pretty good. The jambalaya has pretty good flavor but the rice is overcooked. The mac and cheese is very runny and bland. The red beans and rice needs a lot more seasoning.

We get this at the Black Diamond Chevron. Go figure that we can get great fried chicken in a gas station mini Mart! but that's exactly what you get there. Very friendly people and are always happy to fry up some chicken if there's not enough in the hot case.

Highly recommend the one in Black Diamond. The store staff is wonderful and chicken was fresh and hot and was delicious. We first went to the Maple Valley location and the girl was rude and no chicken was available because she wasd the only one there and didn't want to make it, she said. So we walked out, as she was texting on her phone. We then went to the BD location and have been back 3x's since.
