Customer Reviews
We found this by accident on one of our trips to NOLA and we stop by every time we are in town. We love their seafood platters. I had the Friday special today of fried fish and shrimp. It was so good. We love the nice gentleman who runs the place. He's so friendly. He remembers that we went to school at Ohio State and jokes with us. It is a great place for plate lunch.
Found Koz’s after stopping at Donovan marine next door. Had a piece of fried red fish and a bowl of red beans and rice. Both were excellent - a liberal dose of a local hot sauce was applied. The corn bread was dry and not something I would order again but I would come back for sure.
I heard about their Cuban sandwich. So I stopped in to try it. I was impressed. I love a family owned and ran eatery like this. Locals talking to the cooks. Everyone knew each other and you should have seen the fried chicken coming out of the kitchen!!
I visited Koz’s twice so far. My first time where I ordered a po’boy, a second time where I ordered fried chicken. Two very different qualities of food. My first visit I ordered the shrimp po’boy with an order of fries and blueberry cobbler. The french bread was fresh and soft. Not crunchiness like plenty of other spots. The shrimp were freshly paired and seasoned to perfection. Hand down on the top 5 best shrimp po’boys I’ve ever had. The fries were also freshly fried. The blueberry cobbler was delightful. The second visit was a to-go order of fries chicken, mac’n’cheese, and potatoes with gravy. The chicken was horrible. It seems to have been fried in cornmeal and flour and no seasoning. But the most horrible part was the chicken was burnt and fried in old grease. That’s wrong on ever
Four different entrees and we loved them all. Very good, casual lunch place.
