Best sushi in Mccully-Moili’ili. I loved every roll, and the presentation was amazing. They are delicious and I highly recommend the crunchy rolls. I believe they use barbecue chips and it was so good. I ordered the following rolls: (photo attached) Hurricane Maki Crunchy Spicy Ahi Maki Dynamite Maki I live down the street from here and will be coming back often for sure.
All you expected for sushi take out at Honolulu. You get a larger portion at a very reasonable price. We got a lunch box and an Ahola bento, total cost is under $25, can't beat that price in Honolulu. So if you are near by, on a budget, and don't mind an ok/good'ish sushi, this is definitely the place that will keep your tummy full while still have funds left over for drinks later.
Unfortunately something happpened to this location and what used to be quite good sushi now is poor. We tried a few times and it is consistently poor tasting. Sorry.
Decent place to get your sushi fix. Fairly consistent in terms of taste, portion size, and freshness. Their prices have been going up though, my usual order has gone from $6 to $10 in the span of a few years.
Been going here for years...Iʻm not sure what changed? Maybe new owners/chefs but everything I ordered didnʻt taste or look good. The tempura & fried chicken tasted like reused oil or refried because it was overcooked on the outside but kinda soggy inside. The fried chicken sweet chili suace tasted like orange chicken. The tekka looked like left over fish balled up & thrown together. The udon was ok. They charge .10 for packet of wasabi or .52 for medium size. I purchased $40 worth of food & cant get a free packet of wasabi? When I got home my tekka didn’t have any wasabi as I requested. The cashier reluctantly held the wasabi until I placed the money on the counter. Sadly, can’t say I can recommend this place anymore.
