Absolutely loved the Iburi Gakko and Dutch Gouda Onigiri and Autumn Sozai Trio that I ordered from Kozmo Kitchen at a local event in Fremont. Chatting with the chef was an extra perk! The flavors were fantastic, as was the incorporation of local, seasonal items to the menu. The Kabocha Squash Salad was my favorite! I highly recommend finding an event where Kozmo Kitchen is catering and go to it! You won’t be disappointed!
Kozmo Kitchen is amazing, authentic Japanese food. The key here is authenticity. They must have special access to ingredients that are hard to find in the US (as well as the know-how for cooking!) because I've never tasted food this authentic outside of Japan before. My company ordered bento lunches from Kozmo Kitchen for a training session mostly attended by Japanese people who had just arrived in the US. The attendees marveled at how the bentos were not only fantastic by Japan-standards, but that the ingredients all tasted exactly like what they get back home in Japan as well. I'll definitely utilize Kozmo Kitchen again in the future!
Ramen from Kozmo Kitchen was so good - the soup has a light taste but has a good body, I could finish all the soup, no problem! The soup is not tonkotsu, but soy base and taste just like the "chuka soba" I had as a kid back in Japan.
The tofu katsu nori ben meal was beautifully packed and just as delicious. Also ordered onigiri and loved every single one. As a tip, order an extra one so you can have it for breakfast the next morning!
I ordered KK's ramen and picked it up from the Wallingford location Yesterday. I brought it home and had it last night with a friend on my deck (6 feet apart of course). I just have to say wow was that fantastic. I'm a big ramen fan and I've had it all over the US and in Japan. This was up there with the best I've had. It was beautiful to see all the parts when you unpack it. It only took about 5 minutes to make too. The broth was delicious - light but very flavorful. The noodles were perfect. The chashu was extra thick. My friend says he's going to be a customer now for sure. I'm only hesitant to write this review for fear that it'll be sold out next time I want to get some.
