Customer Reviews
The food was good, but not amazing. The meat portion for the jjampong was very generous, which I liked. The flavor was a bit lacking, though. The beef kalguksu flavor was on the lighter side. The bulgogi was pretty good, also not a strong flavor. Those who like light flavors would enjoy. There is not much seating, and we had to serve ourselves with water, kimchi, and takeaway containers.
Finally checked this place out after about 2 years of hearing about it, and honestly, pretty disappointed. We started with the Korean Bulgogi appetizer—it wasn’t terrible, but had a weird medicinal taste, almost like it was marinated in something to cover up a smell. I ordered the Stir-Fried Beef with Noodles, and it was the biggest letdown. The noodles and sauce didn’t mix well at all, and it tasted more like Korean jaeyuk with cheese and noodles randomly thrown in—not a combo I’d try again. Others in my party had the King Ribs Jjamppong, Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup, and Seafood Kalguksu—everyone agreed they were pretty mid. The whole setup is self-service—you order at a kiosk, pick up your food, and return your own plates. That’s fine, but seeing a tip option on the kiosk was kind of eh
Rating: 7/10 Date Last Visited: 8/18/2025 We ordered the Beef Kooksoo, King Ribs Jjamppong, and LA Galbi. The beef kooks and king ribs jjamppong were both great noodle soups. The meat tasted great, and the additional toppings added additional flavor to the overall noodle soup. However, neither dish really stood out to me and the galbi was not very good either. I like that the restaurant has a kiosk to self-order, which reduces the pressure to tip a lot, making the prices here more efficient. Overall, this place is pretty decent but nothing special.
Tastes super yummy!! Love the texture of the noodle very chewy but soft as well. The soup base is also savory and rich! One minor suggestion is the server could tell us beforehand that everything is self served including cleaning the tray, so that we can adjust tips based on that.
We had an amazing meal at KOOKSOO! We ordered a variety of noodles — Jjambbong, Jajangmyeon, seafood noodles, and more — and paired them with combo choices like galbi and bulgogi. Every dish was so flavorful and authentic. The kalguksu soup had such a rich, deep taste, and the noodles were perfectly chewy — just like the ones I’ve had in Korea. It’s a wonderful place to go with family — our whole group, from grandparents to parents to kids, all enjoyed the food and the warm, welcoming atmospher
