Komi Tofu

If I could give it 10 stars I would. I was sad when Jang Soo Tofu was closed down because it's one of my favorite korean restaurant ever. Glad to see that Komi Tofu has revived it, made the place more open and welcoming. We came around 6.30pm and immediately got our table. We ordered spicy pork with kimchi tofu soup combo. Taste of the food were as delicious as it ever was with the spicy level of 5! It was spicy and absolutely tasty! Banchan was amazing with kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprout, and super creamy mashed potatoes. The fried fish was simple but great part of banchan! Service was very friendly too. Yes, you wait a bit longer for your food but it was so well worth the wait! Will definitely be coming back next time craving for korean food.

My family and I love coming to Komi Tofu! We come at least once a week. The tofu soup and short ribs are so flavorful and the banchan is always fresh. I've also had the dolsot bibimbap and it's delicious. While service can be a little slow sometimes, it's usually when it's very busy, which is understandable and doesn't bother me. The owners are incredibly kind and always welcome us warmly. The restaurant itself is very clean. We will keep coming back!

Real stingy w/side dishes. Sauce for pancake was yuk, no flavor. Need the sauce like the one for pot sticker. Spicy octopus, really chewy, very little octopus and lots of onion. Sauce on it was really good. Stingy on fries fish too, I rather have on small smelt fish. The fried mackel was very dried and fishy. We usually come here for go to korean food but I think not anymore.

We used to come here at least once a week for years under the previous management. Since the new managemnet took over we have been here twice and both times were disapppinted. The current side dishes are simply not as good (kimchi and cucumber are both soft and sour as it was crunchy and fresh from our past experiences at this place). How much do we miss that small salty and crispy fried fish. Now the small fish is replaced with a bread coated fish with larger bones instead. For combo (bbq comes with tofu soup), however, be aware if you choose oyster tofu soup instead of others, there will be an extra $2 charge. It is not such a big deal at all but simply not a good gesture from a new business that has raised price for this combo drastically already. We chose pork soup instead of our oys

I’ve been to a lot of Korean restaurants, and I highly recommend the spicy octopus bibimbap here. The spicy sauce is super flavorful, and they also include fried fish on the side which is really good. The staff are very friendly too — especially the younger guy working there. He was super attentive and thoughtful.
