Customer Reviews
Easily the best tonkatsu I had in Seattle. The place is so popular that the customers line up at the door before it opens at 5PM. We arrived early to secure an early table. We had been to the store a few times before. The environment was clean and cozy, and the staff was attentive. The tonkatsu was excellent. I used to order Katsu-Nabe, which is such a comfort food in chilly Seattle winter. This time I ordered Katsu curry for a change of taste. It does not disappoint. The batter was crispy, the pork was tender and juicy, and the curry was well balanced. Such a satisfying experience. When we left the restaurant, there was still a long line at the door waiting for table. If you plan to visit, definitely arrive early.
We had 3 different dishes to try out their menu and the Katsu Nabe is our most favorite. Each portion is huge and can be served for up to 2 people. Meat is tender and not too dry. Katsu Nabe has variety of vegetables and makes a perfect hot bowl for this cold weather. Each dish comes with a side of shredded cabbage, radishes and a small bowl of miso soup (except the Nabe). Service was very nice and gentle.
I came here because of the great reviews, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Kurobuta pork, it was incredibly tender and juicy. The portion size was generous. I arrived around 6:30 PM and the place was busy. Since we were a party of two, we got lucky and only waited about 10 minutes for a table. The staff were lovely and attentive. The space is a bit narrow, but it adds to the atmosphere. It’s worth a try
I absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious—I ordered the chicken katsu, which came with broth, rice, and cabbage, and everything tasted fresh and amazing. The service was excellent as well; the staff were very attentive and took the time to explain the dishes and recommend which sauces paired best with each item. I had a great experience overall, and it was the perfect comfort meal after a cold day outside. I highly recommend this spot and wish I had a restaurant like this back home. The wait time was also very reasonable—about 10 minutes to get a table.
The pork was tender and juicy, and the fried skin was crunchy. But the pork had not much flavor. We liked the yuzu dipping sauce and the curry. But the miso soup and pickle was not worth the price.
