Incredibly tasty food, I spent 38.57 with a 20% tip and went during happy hour. I got a 5 piece cheesy ball 8 piece beef mandu 5 piece chicken wing and an 18oz Thai tea. Everything was packaged with care. Strongly recommend the cheese ball they are delicately crispy and sweet on the exterior reminding me of a fair ground elephant ear. Savory and soft on the interior I devoured four of them myself. The beef mandu is super crispy on the outside and the meatball is well formed and dense. The chicken is very well fried and I really enjoyed the house yum yum sauce which I would describe as a sweet and sour marries a spicy garlic chili sauce. Everything is made to order so order with patience especially if you're getting lots of fried food. The server brought me my tea while I was waiting which
Was in the area and wanted to try out the restaurant. Got some bahn mi's to bring back and then got some fried chicken to snack on. Some of the better chicken I've had! Super crispy without being overdone or dry. I only had their house sauce but it was really good, almost like a sweet chili sauce with some other ingredients in it. If you're in the area, definitely worth stopping in!
Kkokio is a Korean fried chicken place on Rainier near the Central District. Easy to get to, it's got a good amount of parking since it's in a sort of shopping center. They have about a dozen tables inside and a couple outside. Their menu is big, with lots of options of different types of Asian food, but their fried chicken is where it's at. They have about 7 different flavors of sauce so make sure to try some different ones. Prices are ok for the portion size but the taste is great. Service here is so good, they are so friendly and quick to help you out. It's very clean here and food comes out fresh, so about 10 minutes after ordering. They have a huge drink selection, including some made right there like slushies. Overall this is a great spot for food but also is solid to get as takeout
Kkokio was a great dinner option with quick takeout and a super clean restaurant. The menu was way bigger than I expected and everything we got was excellent. Will be back!
Great chicken. Crispy spicy. Definitely a good addition and very reasonable price. Went again today and remembered to take a picture before destroying it. Half order. 20 dollars. The sauces are incredibly good. Definitely try this place and keep them here.
