Keaton Beach

Quiet area... but lots of debris on beach. Not like a typical Flordia beach... more like a nature beach.

Nice little spot for the kids to play in the sand. Came to watch the sunset but unfortunately it was a little cloudy to the west so didn't get to see the sunset but still got some nice golden hour pictures. Saw tons of little crabs in the beach and in the first 10 feet or so of the water at low tide. Kind of makes it hard to walk around barefoot without worrying about stepping on the little guys. No playground. No crowds to speak of. Plenty of people trying to fish at sunset. Honestly, a nice quiet beach... Just nothing to write home about.

This is a well maintained small beach area at Keaton Beach, Hodges Park, along Florida's nature coast. There are two observation towers overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and a very nice well maintained beach area, small but very nice! One of the best things about Keaton beach is a very nice wide and long fishing pier or relaxing walk, at the end of the pier is a covered area with benches. There are covered picnic areas and picnic tables. Lots of parking is available. It was a weekday when we were there and it was not crowded at all. Outdoor shower to rinse the sand off. Overall probably the nicest beach along the nature coast north of Shired Island. Don't miss visiting Keaton Beach.

Nice little beach. Not a lot of people, which is good. Definitely family friendly. They were launching kayaks off the beach. Lots of people fishing from the pier.

Peaceful and family-friendly spot on Florida’s Nature Coast. The park area is clean and easy to access, with restrooms, picnic tables, and two tall observation towers that give you a wide view over the Gulf. Perfect for fishing, wading, or just relaxing with the family. The sandy area isn’t huge, but it’s great for kids to play while parents enjoy the breeze. Great stop if you’re passing through or looking for a quiet coastal getaway.
