Food made with quality and care. I ordered the karraagedon which was sooo good. My bf ordered the katsudon which he enjoyed. We shared the udon and that was also pretty good. The soup broth was delicious. Only complaint was that it was really cold in the restaurant.
I love supporting local small businesses, and as I walked in to this place, I saw a family from the counter to the kitchen. This establishment has 5/6 items on the menu that specializes in pork katsu (cutlet) a chicken karage(fried chicken). I enjoy the food and peaceful and quaint vibes. The katsudon was had perfect egg to rice ratio with a mountain of beautiful pork cutlet on top, perfectly cooked. I also had the Udon, which the noodles were very bouncy and chewy, dancing in a flavorful broth. The katsu sandwich was also very rich but balanced with the sliced cabbage and mustard sauce they gave on the side. This place was very clean, big plus! Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food received. Overall, I’d recommend this place and will be returning!
this Japanese restaurant, I tried the tonkatsu set with mentaiko udon, and from the very first glance, it was clear — everything was well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. The tonkatsu was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy and tender inside. The batter was thin and light, allowing the natural flavor of the pork to shine through. When paired with the rich, slightly sweet tonkatsu sauce, each bite delivered a satisfying depth of umami. The shredded cabbage with sesame dressing provided a refreshing contrast, and the warm miso soup tied the whole meal together beautifully. The mentaiko udon showcased a perfect blend of textures and flavors. The thick, chewy noodles were coated evenly in a creamy mentaiko sauce that was savory, slightly briny, and deeply flavorful. Clean, delicious and authentic. Karaage Don and Katsu Plate were a perfect pair. The pork katsu is aged, tender and juicy. The portion is amazing. The prices are very fair and the quailty reflects that the chef has years of culinary experience. Truly enjoyed our experience. They even have a Japanese soda Calpico which was delicious. Glad we came in and lucky for us it was around 2pm on a Tuesday so there wasn't a wait. Apparently the weekends here can be very busy! Atmosphere is clean and simple 👌
This is our second time trying to come here after hearing about all the good things about this restaurant. And IT REALLY IS WORTH IT to come try and eat. The katsu is really huge and so tender. The seasonal menu is awesome too! We are willing to come try again👍🏻
