Kampuchea Kitchen

I stopped by Kampuchea Kitchen while driving through the North Shore near Kahuku, and it turned out to be a great place to experience Cambodian flavors on Oahu. The restaurant is small and casual, but it stands out because Cambodian cuisine is not very common in Hawaii. The menu features a mix of traditional Cambodian dishes built around rice, grilled meats, and flavorful sauces. The dishes tend to balance savory, slightly sweet, and tangy elements, which gives the food a distinctive flavor compared to other Southeast Asian cuisines. Great food truck food! Variety of choices from Chinese to Thai to Philly cheese steaks. We got the shrimp fried rice, cheese fries and shrimp/veggies and it was all great. One of the best cheese steaks on the island!

Unfortunately not really much in the way of actual Cambodian food but the food have its phenomenal. I have the skewered beef combo with yellow rice and it was some of the best beef I've had on the island. Food prep time is long but that's because they are making it fresh to order. Fyi, this is in a large food truck park with shared tables & restrooms. It gets crowded and the lines can be long after 1. Also, the restrooms are poorly maintained if at all.

It was excellent, freshly made, lots of "extra" veggies and a very nice garnish of cucumber on the side. I wasn't sure what to expect and a different "truck" experience wasn't as nice as this. I'd recommend it.

I loved this! I love the fried chicken and the cheese fries. Best cheese fries on the island. The owners were extremely nice and friendly, they let me take a photo of the cheese I should use and gave me advice when it came to buying it and which one was good and bad. The food is made quickly, yet it’s still amazing. It’s so good! I love this place and hope to come again when I visit Hawaii.
