Terrible service very rude and doesn’t take anything but cash but says it anywhere and food isn’t even that good for all of that

This place was ok. Pros: Great variety, great price, and ok service Cons: Sweet plantains wasn't sweet, oxtail was over cooked, rice and peas was bland. There's better options in Stamford for Jamaican food.

Owner has nasty attitude!!! Always walking around like if people owe her something which us people are the ones supporting her business.. will never go there again!! You have to pay cash, raised prices and the oxtails are more than $20. With that money I will enjoy real food at Prime!!

I should have read the reviews before coming here. The first time I came was with someone they knew so their attitude wasn’t bad. This time around I couldn’t believe how horrendous their attitude was, you would think I was stabbing them the way they treated me. I asked the man if they had soup and he pointed down to something dark brown but didn’t say what kind of soup it was. Then I asked how much was the fish and I thought he said $8.59 which sounded like a really good deal. When I ordered the food I asked for plantains but he must of not heard me because he was getting ready to close the container, so when I asked again he gave me an annoyed look like he wanted to say no. Both the man serving me and the woman who rang me up faces were screwed up. She told me the price and then I mistake

The woman behind the counter was unbelievably kind and patient. She was helpful to my wife and myself when she was admitted from the hospital and was feeling scared and acting erratically. Unlike what most people in store that size would’ve done she was patient and offered assistance by letting us use the phone to call for a ride and wait inside as a stalker looking for trouble was pacing out front, trailing us. I know that’s a whole lot of drama in one sentence, but the point is this woman showed kindness that I don’t see very often these days and her food was absolutely incredible. I think her location being right next to the hospitalmakes her hard to miss but her food makes you happy you did not miss this spot.
