Journey Cafe Big Island

Journey Café Big Island is a total vibe. Lush, cozy atmosphere with island energy and seriously good food. We ordered the Journey Salad, tacos, veggie omelette, and the açaí bowl—every dish was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The salad was crisp and refreshing, the tacos were bold and satisfying, and the veggie omelette was fluffy, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. The açaí bowl was thick, fresh, and not overly sweet—exactly how it should be. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Great food, great energy, and a must-stop spot on the Big Island. Would 100% come back 🌿🥑🍳🍓

Journey Cafe Big Island is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the lush, plant-draped entrance, the atmosphere is a complete vibe if you just think enchanted garden meets cozy island sanctuary, with twinkling lights, fresh flowers, and that perfect blend of rustic charm and tropical serenity. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you in vacation mode, even if you’re local. The food? Next level. I ordered the Loco Moco and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had! It was juicy, locally sourced beef, perfectly cooked rice, rich gravy, and that dreamy egg on top, all made with ingredients so fresh you can taste the aloha in every bite. My bestfriend got the Pesto & Gravy Omelette, and let me tell you, the combo of creamy pesto, savory gravy, and fluffy eggs was pure

I am not vegan and didn't know that the cafe was a vegan cafe until i got there. But gosh did the food blow my mind! It was so good, and i would totally come back here to try the other dishes. The vibes are 100% amazing. I got to try a little bit of their vegan soft serve and it was phenomenal as well. My pesto and gravy meal was filling and great. I also got a drink cup with my meal and tried their delicious creamy chai. Overall, i would definitely recommend this place.

Of all the places we've been to on the Big Island, Journey Cafe is by far the most innovative when it comes to vegetarian and vegan cuisine. We had the acai bowl and the savory crepe. Both were delectable. The savory crepe is easily the best I have ever had. They even made a vegan runny egg - so yum and inventive. Planning to come back here every day during our stay in Kona. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They even let us sample their dairy free soft-serves - they were amazing.

They have the BEST ice cream on the island and probably one of the best vegan ice creams in the world. Vegan or not, everyone loves their ice cream. The texture is perfect. It’s made from macadamia nuts and cashews so it’s perfectly creamy. Their tacos are also fantastic. We’ve been here many times and with non vegan friends. Their food is tasty for everyone. The staff are super friendly and it’s a local business.
