This is a quintessential town staple it. Since before I was born they have been off making great food it seems. And while I have only found it recently moving from Skagit to Stanwood, I am hooked. It hits the spot for the comfort food vibe, and atmosphere with great floor and kitchen staff. One of those places you ask yourself if you are starving or the food just that good, and just want you wanted. I think that's rare when mind and taste buds align so well. If you are getting an Italian classic, I highly recommend the oven baked skillet upgrade. It's worth it.
I have to say that the standards at Jimmy's has fallen REALLY bad. The last time I was there was about 2-3 years ago. I always get their baked lasagna and it is ALOT to eat. I can never finish it. Tonight I got 2 orders to go. My baked lasagna and a prawn alfredo. Well I only got about half of what I usually get on a dine in order and it was 2 layers of noodles with the same thickness of meat as the noodles and it was SWIMMING in greasy oil and i couldn't eat more than 4 bites before i started getting naseous from all of grease in it and ON it. The prawn Alfredo had 2 hairs it and didn't get finished because of it. The standards have really gone downhill here. If I would have rated 3 years ago it would been nothing but positive and 5 stars but it tanked this time. I'm not really sure if i
We stopped by here on my way from Mt Vernon to Seattle. I ordered for The Spartan Pizza, Meatball Grinder, and Tiramisu. The pizza tasted salty, but the dough was delicious. The size of the pizza was large , and I could only eat one piece. I was also curious about the taste of meatball grinder, but it wasn't salty. It was good. I recommend tiramisu for dessert. I would like to eat in the restaurant again if I get the chance.
Great service and delicious food! The Hawaiian grinder was amazing! Only complaint was the "creamy Italian " dressing for the salad. It's actually a Bleu cheese / Italian combo and that wasn't mentioned even though we said it was our first time dining there. Overall really good and can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu.
The food was perfect! The service amazing! The atmosphere is okay if you don't mind super loud talking all around. I will bring ear plugs next time. It was more than worth every bite!
