Jax State Dining Hall

Honestly I enjoy it here decently. I like to order the cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza, grilled cheese, sometimes I’ll eat something a bit different. I wish there were more meat options, but it’s understandable there’s only so much room for things to eat. Wish that desert pizzas were served more often. Other than that, a good spot to chat, to study if you need background noise, and the deserts are always pretty good.

I will start off with a compliment for their Weekday staff. The weekday staff is usually really good about prep, restocking, and keeping an overall content atmosphere and good food out. However, the weekend crew has turned the place into an uncomfortable and ratchet place to eat. Food INTENDED to be hot is either served lukewarm or cold, spices and drinks are either not restocked or put off for hours, and some staff have a downright nasty attitude if you ask a simple question. With the music, uncensored/explicit rap/trap is blasted loudly from speakers to a point you cannot hear the person across from you speaking. I am very disappointed that management seems to have no grip on their employees and that the university forces most of their students to eat here. It has become a very uncomfort

Some days the food is good other days it is terrible. For the most part, it is just mid. Depending on the person, the service varies. For some people they are respectful and polite, but there are some others that I am not going to name drop, but their service is terrible. The atmosphere is ok but the music could vary.

This was the chicken that was served to myself and friends, it’s absolutely disgusting that they serve this and don’t verify that food is thoroughly cooked to minimized food borne illness risk if this continues we will be reporting this to the health department. This is appalling and absolutely unacceptable. The fact that we don’t have many options to eat outside of the campus and this being our main and in some cases our only option the faculty should be ashamed of themselves and held responsible.
