My wife and I ate here before going to a game and it was awesome if you like good country cooking. We had fried pork chop and fried chicken. Sides were Mac and cheese pintos potato salad and it was all delicious. Ladies were very friendly as well.

I absolutely LOVE this spot!!! The food was on point and the banana pudding is my new favorite. I got the smothered pork chops, with cornbread, mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. It was so tender and full of flavor! I will be recommending it and bringing coworkers for lunch often. 10/10

Here in the ‘Ville & ventured out to Jacksonville Homestyle Eatery. WOW these ladies knocked dinner outta the park this evening. Put this lil local spot on your radar for some legit southern home cook’n at its best 😋

I get that it’s a family run homestyle restaurant, but for $16/plate I expect fresh, hot food. I ordered catfish, Mom ordered chicken, the fish was hot & chicken was greasy but hot; the sides were “left on the counter cool/cold”. The cornbread would not even melt butter. When I complained about the freshness of the food, my waitress responded with it was MADE TODAY. I responded with “cld it be fresh & hot on my plate? “. That’s when doors started slamming and the waitress got an attitude. Popeyes & Jacks are better.

Just ate here for the first time. We will definitely be back! There were 3 of us plus our grandson. We tried all 3 specials and every side, except cabbage and the pintos, we'll get those next time. Everything was perfection! The sisters, and niece, were so personable... hilarious, really...I felt like I was at my own house! Everyone that came in was welcomed like a family member. The food was amazing, but the atmosphere was definitely a plus. Definitely recommend!
