Awesome spot for fresh Mexican food. Great food and friendly and quick service. Complimentary chips and delicious fresh salsas always set a good vibe. We got the classic and jalapeño margaritas, and the chipotle and veggie enchiladas and everything was delicious! The sauce on the chipotle enchiladas nearly had my husband licking his plate 😄. Fresh ingredients and veggies and sauces had great flavor. Will be coming back for sure.

I ordered the Molcajete Meat dish, as I was interested in the cactus that was listed in the dish. I thought that Molcajete part was implying that the dish would have been made by using a molcajete... Until they bring out an entire, giant, boiling molcajete! The Molcajete Meat dish comes with grilled chick, steak, and cactus in a delicious sauce/stew with fresh tortillas, cooked in the molcajete. It is on the pricier side, but I bring with me take home containers and I have at least 2 meals from leftovers. It also comes with beans and rice! Don't be fooled by the pictures, it is much larger in person. The meat is perfectly grilled. The cactus has great flavor! I have never had cactus before and was shocked at how delicious it is. I really enjoy the food they serve here, the carne asada is really delicious and savory and the drinks served at the bar are exquisite. The servers are always kind, attentive and have a smile on their face. There is one issue on the other hand, the restaurant is always uncomfortably hot and humid every time I visit. I've asked the servers on several occasions if they could turn on the a/c and they always insist that it is currently running. I hope the dining room will be better ventilated with cool air the next time I visit. That small detail is the only bad experience I've had and I would give the restaurant five stars if not for that inconvenience.

Bartender lame, food sucked. 1 taco Ala cart $13.50. No beans no rice.The shredded beef is so tough, can't eat it. Marg's suck. Main ingredient of their Salsa is ketchup. This was happy hour! Never again, that's it were done. Why can't Mexican restaurants be good in Carbondale... do they think we are stupid?
