Jalapeños Mexican Restaurant

I had high expectations for this place, but the food wasn't fresh, the rice was bland and cold, and the meat, like the rice, didn't taste fresh; it seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave. And let's not even talk about the birria tacos; they weren't good. The only good things about this place were the horchata and the friendly staff.

Delicious food, nice and quiet dining experience this evening. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to eating here again soon.

They have good food but they'll forget about you and you're going to have to look for your server... And the food isn't hot for some reason. It's ok but not like sizzling restaurant hot. The people are very friendly and they have delicious food and mixed drinks. I've been 4 times now

The service was great, but the food was so-so. Fairly bland. What surprised me most was that my burrito meal (I ordered the Jalapeño burrito) was just a burrito on a plate. Every other Mexican restaurant I've been to provide rice and/or beans with their dinners. Seriously, if they had spent 50 cents to put rice and beans on my plate, and charged a dollar more, I would have given 4 stars.

I ordered fajitas, and the side of rice came with a dead roach in it. My partner is in pest control and confirmed it. Waitress totally understood why we had to walk out.
