Mansion on Main Bed and Breakfast

Beautiful old home packed with antiques and amazing architecture inside and out. Rooms are well appointed and AC keeps the temperature comfortable, private bath, tv, all of the creature comforts. Breakfast was superb and our host Kristen is very sweet and accommodating, answering all of our questions and just awesome overall! We were hoping for another haunted adventure but this place is not! Lol. What it is is a gorgeous turn of the century home that feels like home, we love it!! If you get a chance go to Betty’s (the owner) antique shop next door, wow!! We had a great weekend so far and really just love this place, the town of Smithfield is very quaint and has lots to offer someone looking to slow down and enjoy a small town weekend getaway, highly recommended and we WILL be back.

We went here on a whim for our small spring break for my family (i have 7 y.o.). Travel always hard on our family since my husband and I has a dietary limitations. But this time gives us awhile different perspective with their warm welcome. Since we made a call for reservations all the way to our staying there it's such a pleasant experience. No impersonal, sterile experience of the hotel. You speak to the person and enjoy the personalized touch in your food, decor and your room. And we also talked to Angel (the manager there) and she's such a caring lady (she made a special treat for my little ones for breakfast). My family will surely come back. Another plus point is the price. For two room and that kind of service you can't beat their price.

My husband & stayed there to celebrate Valentines Day, It was always a dream of mine to stay there it is so beautiful. We so enjoyed our stay! The Mansion is equisite each room is tastefully decorated in true Victorian Style with period paintings and furniture. Dawn the mgr was very hospitable from the moment we arrived. Our Master Suite was lovely, comfortable and gorgeous. We received a delicious breakfast in the lavish Dining room. We really felt we were experiencing Downton Abbey right there @ the Mansion on Main. We highly recommend a stay there, for an overnite, vacation rental or a "girls weekend" . The close proximity to the Mansion House Art & Antiques is also a bonus for us collectors. Thank u Mansion on Main! You helped us have a wonderful Valentines Day!

This house was excellent for our extended family vacation needs, which we rented for five days. We had three floors all to ourselves, and used every bedroom. It was like living in a museum, and we were allowed to use everything. A fully equipped kitchen was available, and we did our own cooking. Stemware and china was in abundance. Laundry facilities were available as well. A wonderful opportunity to have a miniature Downton Abbey experience. Onsite concierge lives in basement, and was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

This past weekend, our daughter and I stayed at Mansion on Main Street for 4 days / nights. Our hostess Dawn was so sweet, friendly and helpful while observing COVID protocols to protect her guests. The breakfasts were amazing! The historic home is filled with antiques, and Dawn was very informative as to their origins and histories. What a jewel of a find!
