Taste of Smithfield Restaurant

Super cute little place. We came in an hour til close. I wasnt sure if we seat ourselves. There was 4 girls rolling silverware who didnt acknowledge us. A young girl did and sat us. We were waited on by a lady (forgive me, I didnt catch her name) with short hair who seemed new (as she read the specials from a notebook) she was nice. She did refill our drinks. She didnt ask how we liked it, which was odd. We made sure to leave about 15 minutes before close. Salmon was ok. Green beans phenomonal. Mashed potatoes were decent. I did snag a fry from my daughter and those were good too.

Love this place. Service was snappy and food was good. Went for lunch and had a delicious club sandwich and wife had the chicken salad. Both sandwiches were tasty and plenty large...we both took half sandwich to-go. On 9/27 came back...same great food and snappy service. Added photos.

Had the Smithfield ham biscuits and burger with goat cheese. So delicious and a great view right there at the bar at the front. Really fast service and enjoyed my entire experience. This is a must visit when you are in Smithfield, VA. 10/10!!!!

Busy joint on a Saturday night for good reason! Didn't have to wait long for a table, though. Excellent food and service in a charming venue. Country ham biscuits are a must-try - fantastic country ham on delicious sweet potato biscuits! Apple Blossom and Autumn Paradise cocktails were both fun seasonal offerings, well-balanced, light, and refreshing. Pork wings savory and delicious, and apple and goat BLT salad a massive portion and big winner, especially rum-infused apple pieces!

We stopped at this charming busy restaurant on our way back home. Devante, our server, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! The collard greens have a hidden spicy kick. All the employees were cheerful and helpful, including the hard-working cooks. We highly recommend you try this place if you are in the area. Thanks, Taste of Smithfield.
