The Cockeyed Rooster Cafe

I've come to this place a number of times and never been disappointed. This was the first time I had lunch and it didn't disappoint either. I had the chicken liver special and side of mixed vegetables and fried okra. The chicken livers were fried just right and with the gravy I ordered to pour over them really accentuate the taste. I could have eaten the fried okra light popcorn due to the great flavor and tenderness. The mixed vegetables taste like they were heated up from the can and were plan with no seasoning. I took home a banana pudding dish which was good for restaurant pudding. The server was great and I had great conversation with the person sitting next to me. Has a real down home country vibe. I have an hour drive to get there and I'll be making the trip again.

First time review Yummy experience from start to finish! The food was five stars because every dish had flavor and was presented beautifully. The atmosphere was clean, thoughtfully designed, and welcoming. And the service? Outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, warm, and genuinely personable. We felt right at home and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Five stars across the board! If you haven’t been, GO!

We have been here many times and always gotten great service and excellent food. I am so thankful that they make anything on their menu even if it's breakfast. I had two teens with me yesterday that one wanted a patty melt, one wanted a salad at 9am. The server didn't even question it, just took care of them. I know how much of a pain it is to break the rhythm, but I really appreciate the people accommodating them.

No need to waste any money here. The food is gross and the coffee is worse. The coffee is so weak, it has an amber color to it and it is see-through. The food tastes like something I would make at home after a night out drinking, only it costs more. They are very skimpy with their food. My breakfast sandwich was practically flat. The service was slow and the waiter kept forgetting our order and drinks. I can certainly forgive that if the food and beverage were good, but they were absolutely not. I have no idea why people are rating this as high as they are. It must be bots and AI because there's no way this place deserves more than 1 or 2 stars.

My meal was perfect! I had the sweet potato pancakes with turkey sausage links. The pancakes are large and fluffy. Definitely having leftovers. My server, Alynn, was super sweet and attentive
