Jack's In Old Orcutt

Very nice service-oriented staff and great cozy atmosphere. My salmon salad had a strong fishy smell when it was delivered. I didn't make any inquiry about it with our nice waitress and ended up having no tummy issues with it later on, but I felt uneasy about finishing it all. We will definitely return, and I will be more proactive if i'm concerned about any of the food. Overall a very nice experience.

Just a fantastic little diner, I ordered the pastrami, it was the best I have had in a long time. Fresh, got plenty of cheese and sauerkraut. Fresh homemade coleslaw. Delicious. Great service as well.

The best places to eat are off the beaten path. I had the 805 chicken melt with half fries/onion rings as recommended by the waitress. Excellent recommendation. Both the fries and onion rings were right on the money. It was good! I happened to walk by the pies and I knew I had to have some before leaving. There was no way there would be room if I ate all my food. Glad i made the space for the pie. The pastry was flakey and the blackberry filling was delicious and not overly sweet. The service was excellent. All the waitresses worked together to create a pleasant eating environment. Very attentive. Next time skip the overpriced "artisan" food, and get down for some serious comfort food . This place will not disappoint.

Jack’s in Old Orcutt, had been turning out excellent food for many years. Did you know Jack’s is one of the top 10 of best places in the Santa Maria area for breakfast? Happy Father’s Day to all you dad’s. Wife ordered chicken and waffles, they were wonderful, had some, she loved them. I ordered Joe’s scrambled with biscuits and gravy they were terrific. Jack’s packs them in, be sure to come early. Service was near perfect.

The food was excellent atmosphere was great where you could carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Service was great they were checking several times to see if there was anything missing.
