Amazing Food & Unforgettable Southern Hospitality at Pecans 128! What a wonderful find, I stopped into Pecans 128 for a quick dinner while working, and it quickly turned into a lovely evening. First, the restaurant itself is quirky and unique the food was amazing, and the ambiance is so cute and the staff is beyond welcoming. But the absolute highlight was meeting the owners' dad, Jack. He was such a kind, sweet gentleman who made my experience truly special. He took the time to tell me the stories behind the fascinating pictures and items on display, giving the restaurant a wonderful personal touch. It’s rare to find a place that excels at food, atmosphere, and hospitality, but Pecans 128 delivers all three. I highly recommend visiting this charming spot!
This place is an absolute must! From the moment you walk in, everything is top-notch. The food is incredible, and the desserts are truly AMAZING—especially the brown butter cake. It’s hands down a must-try and worth every bite. On top of that, the staff is outstanding: friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the entire experience even better. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Delicious, light (our choice), casual dinner before our show at Barter. New menu (2 months) with American dishes as well as several fish taco and quesadilla offerings. Calamari was lightly battered and fried to perfectly tender with Asian chili sauce for dipping. Hush puppies with house made tartar sauce were enjoyed at a nearby table. Generous spring mix salads with in-house dressings. I’ll return to try entrees of salmon with cheese grits and a carnitas bowl. Making a choice was hard!
Unexpected gem in a small town. We stopped for lunch at the halfway point of our bike ride on the nearby Virginia Creeper Trail. Got to town and trolled Maps to pick a place for food. This won easily. We were not disappointed. Friendly and attentive waitress. We started with Roasted Cauliflower and devoured it. Husband had the Smashed Chicken and I had the Pickle-fried Chicken BLT. Plenty of food, enough that neither of us finished despite just having ridden 16 miles with another 16 to go. The pictures in the tables are priceless. The decor is just the right amount of funky eclectic.
The food was amazing! The service was super and the restrooms were clean. Loved the atmosphere too! Cute place!
