Jack Mackerels Island Grill

First time my family has eaten here and we’ve made Kure Beach/Fort Fisher our vacation spot for the last 6 years! I can’t believe we didn’t eat here sooner!! We went around 6:00/6:30pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Plenty of seating for 6 at a booth. I got Jacks Ultimate Club with Old Bay chips and it was AMAZING!! No exaggeration. The chips were so flavorful and crispy and the chicken club was so tasty! My husband and my daughter’s boyfriend got the Flounder Platters and they cleaned their plates and told us many times how good it was while they were eating. My oldest daughter got the Cheshire Pork Belly and it was so tender she could tear it apart with just her fork! My youngest daughter and son got the Snow Crab Cluster and loved it!! Our waitress was the sweetest lady

Stopped in on a Friday night. Off season still moderately busy but sat a table right away. Food was delicious and good sized portions for the price. Will definitely make another visit!

Our server Ryan was phenomenal. Attentive and friendly. I had the snow crab legs and clams for an appetizer. These were some of the best I've had. Tasty and cooked just right. My sister had the pork chops that were tender and tasty. Everyone was really friendly. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

The food was alright, nothing special. The prices were appropriate for the quality of food served. The service was a bit underwhelming. They were friendly but not overly optimistic or engaging like other establishments. I think the lunch specials are worth the price, I got the Swordfish bites and homemade chips. The chips were pretty good.

We did not have the best experience. Service was pretty slow. Polite, but very slow. The food was ok. I got the catch of the day. Mahi Mahi. Blackened. The flavor was faint and the fish was dry. My daughter's shrimp was fine. The seafood dip was ok. We were a bit disappointed. Looked good. But taste was meh.
