Big Daddy's Seafood Restaurant

Went here on family vaca, we had 9 people in our party. No waiting for a table we got to go right in! our waiter Tyler was fun and very polite and keep up with anything that we needed . I ordered the shrimp seafood plater and a bowl of clam chowder. The soup was the best ive had. Got onion rings and slaw and a tea. (The pic is my daughters plate thats why its fries and not onion rings) The food was ready within 20 minutes. And ALL THE FOOD WAS CORRECT THE FIRST TIME! Tyler made sure we were taken care of and our drinks were full. He also played around with our toddler! Great atmosphere inside. Food was delicious and a huge portion. Liked the little store inside also!

DEAR BIG DADDY, Had The Greatest Time At Your Establishment!!!! Fried Oysters Were Amazing With Our Cocktail!!!! Bridget Was Amazing, Very Welcoming & Friendly Service!!!! Last but not least Your Ladies Room & Men's Room Was the Most Clean Bathrooms we have been in!! Smelled and Looked so Nice!!!! Was Very Comfortable to go in to!!!! The experience at Big Daddy’s was mediocre. My burger was bland and lacked flavor. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, as the restaurant felt humid and even had a dehumidifier running in the dining area. Service was fair overall, but our server seemed overly jittery and distracted. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, we still waited about 30 minutes for our food, which was disappointing.

This place feels like a tourist trap. Overpriced basic food. I had the pick 2 grouper and deviled crab. The deviled crab was ok, mostly stuffing not so much crab. Grouper was dry and flavorless. Fries were the best item. My in laws got ribs which I sampled. They were tender but fatty and over smoked (tasted like someone went wild on the liquid smoke!) our server was a younger guy who was attentive but forgetful. Kept checking on us then not bringing what we asked. Nothing was terrible or bad, just not a place I would recommend.

Years ago, we had driven past Big Daddy's when we came to Kure Beach, but never stopped to eat. This year we did, and I am so glad we did! I had the catch of the day... yellow fin tuna, blackened and rare. Absolutely delicious. The roasted potatoes were perfect... crispy outside and creamy tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. Jake was our server, and we could not have asked for better service. He pulled off the perfect balance of being available and helpful without hovering. Thanks to all who made our meal so wonderful. We will definitely be returning to Big Daddy's!
