I ordered the flounder, and my brother ordered the wings — both were absolutely amazing! It’s been a long time since I’ve had wings this big and flavorful. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. We’ll definitely be coming back for more.
You know what? Hell yeah… this is a great little stop for those days when you just want a solid fish plate without spending an arm and a leg. I’m not mad at it… make sure you get that lemon pepper seasoning on the fish… 10/10. Greens? Bussin’. Mac? Ehh, 5/10. Okra? Solid 7/10. But that frozen lemonade? Boiiiiiii… 10000/10. Overall? Real decent stop. I’d come back.”
This is one of my main go-to places for seafood. I ordered 2 combo consisting of trout and large shrimp with lemon pepper added. My mom ordered the red snapper. We loved our seafood. There are a good selection of sides. You get 2 sides. We each ordered double yams. The yams were ok, not great, just ok. For my mom and I, the yams lacked sweetness and spices. Please don't let our opinion of the yams deter you from visiting this establishment. I placed our order via the drive-thru. I love that your seafood is cooked when ordered and not in a container getting cold. You'll receive a buzzer if there are other patrons waiting.
My family loves JJs! My dad comes to visit from out of town and one of the first places he wants to go to is JJs!! Always have been treated so kindly. Never had a bad experience or a bad bite. I have tried almost the whole menu by now and everything is delicious.
This really hurts that I have to post such an awful review especially for food that I really craved on yesterday. I don't ever recall eating fried chicken with no seasoning or batter. I was shocked, literally no batter/coating used anywhere and the chicken was fried so hard, way overcooked. The fish? I almost wonder if they are buying grocery store fillets rather than using fresh seafood. Decor tip: get rid of those filthy fabric chairs in the lobby, they are disgusting. Get wood, you can clean those.
