Island Hawaiian BBQ & Seafood

Recently came across a restaurant serving Hawaiian style food. Had to give it a try. I ordered the spicy beef plate. It came with 2 scoops of white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. The spicy beef was really good and spicy. The portions were generous. The macaroni salad came on the side in a small plastic container. That's good as I don't like it to get mixed in with the other food. They offer Hawaiian Sun drinks which I love and are hard to find in the Midwest. I dined in at first. It was hot and the air conditioner was not working so I decided to pack it up and take it to go. They have only 3 tables so mostly a take out place. The food was good and I will come back. Hidden gem in Barberton. Their meal took us back to our trip to Kauai. The moco loco was just how we remembered it on the island. Everything was authentic down to the mac salad and Hawaiian Sun drinks. Well worth the stop 💯

I was so disappointed especially after reading peoples reviews I lived in Hawaii for 15 years. Ordered Bento box and Hawaiian Bq ribs and spam katsu musubi. The only edible food was musubi. Every Barbeque meat we had was like jerky couldn't chew it! The ribs were so salty no wonder you give mayonnaise sides for all meats. The Mahi mahi tasted like perch looked like perch the sizes were so small referring a picture. Id never eat there again even if it was free! Look how small mahi fish was smaller than the tarter sauce. Most discussing food every throwing it out!!

Nothing Beats like being Home in Hawaii... This Place is the True meaning of Island Style home cooked meal. The Aloha Spirit, the warm and comfort smile and the Good deliciousness of Comfort Foods. Those that grew up there or often visited Hawaii will say yes, FINALLY!!! A Place that will remind us of home Hawaii. So I welcome and encourage those who NEVER been to HAWAII before please come on in or in other words E KOMO MAI. Finally an authentic Hawaiian bbq place in Ohio!! I’m spoiled by the plethora of options back home in California (L&L, Ono’s, etc) and I always always crave chicken katsu. But I learned not all katsu is the same. Sometimes the sauce tastes way too ketchupy and ruins the meal (after all, the sauce is important!!) or the katsu breading is wrong. But here? The mac salad tastes just like home, the katsu sauce tastes just like the katsu sauce from L&L, the katsu is breaded perfectly.. I will definitely be going back.
