As the owner of Rolling Suds Power Washing of Fairfield–Westchester, I’m always on the move between jobs and client meetings throughout Westchester — and the Irvington Library has become one of my favorite stops when I need a quiet, welcoming place to work. This library is impeccably maintained: bright, airy, and thoughtfully laid out with lots of cozy seating areas and private nooks. Whether I’m putting together estimates, answering emails, or simply clearing my head before heading out to a roof washing job, it’s the perfect environment to focus. The library staff are exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help you find what you’re looking for or point you toward a useful resource. The collection is well rounded, with a great mix of fiction, business guides, local
A hearing loop system was recently installed in the Gallucci Gallery & Program room giving access to people with hearing aids & cochlear implants with T-Coil switches.
This Library is excellent not noisy like, Greenburgh library which is so noisy You can not read in peace phones ringing, Not what a Library should be. Irvington Public Library you can read in peace and, Is more peaceful, me and my wife we love it. That is the point of a Library to read in peace and, Relax the Mind. We live in yonkers but rather come to this Library, Since we are closer to Hastings on the Hudson. The Staff at Irvington Public Library very Nice. Great Library. Keep the Good Work. 👍👍👍👍
Located in a beautiful brick building very close to both the riverfront and the downtown. The children area looks very nice, and they have an excellent front browsing section. The adult reading room is very pleasantly lit and close to a nice little pocketpark/greenspace, the stacks are full of interesting books, and the furniture/art is all quite nice. I also enjoyed the exposed brick and wooden columns that give the space some interesting character.
Not that great it can get super noisy @ times especially after school during school year; I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to study quietly. The facilities are good though and employees are cordial it's just that they don't discipline the young children who make a lot of noise and think the place's a playground.
