Irvington Delight

This restaurant is absolutely the best. Ohan and Mourad are so kind and hospitable. All of the food is spectacular, but the chicken shawarma, baba ganouj, muhamarra, basil hummus and stuffed grape leaves are truly something special in my opinion. They make everything fresh and the flavors are incredible. Whenever I'm in Irvington my friends and family request that I pick up extra. We have also ordered catering for multiple Christmas parties and the platters are always LICKED CLEAN! We order chicken shawarma over rice, hummus platter, stuffed grape leaves, and mediterranean salad platter and our guests absolutely rave about the food. Would recommend a million times over.

I got the vegetarian falafel wrap. Probably half would've been enough, but I had no problem finishing it because it was delicious!

My order - Lentil soup, Fries, and tzatziki Let’s start off with the good the tzatziki was decent and the pita That’s about the only pleasant thing from my order Fries - unseasoned and not their usual steak fries I’m used to The lentil soup didn’t even look like lentil soup the lentils were disintegrated and the soup was watered down The guy working had a bit of an attitude I hope this place changes because I was disappointed

I don't even like olives, tomatoes, or onions but this salad is life changing. Pics don't do it justice. Earlier this week I paid $18 for a salad from Chopt and it was so wet that it resembled soup. Very hit or miss there. But this place? You can taste the freshness. The meat is tender, the lettuce is crisp, the tomatoes are just the right amount of salty. It's $18 for a Greek salad + lamb gyro and it's going to become my go-to whenever I'm in the area. And, the walk up the hill to get there is a Rockwell painting. Plus, the family that works there is very nice. Truly, Irvington Delight lives up to the name!

Delicious and refreshing chicken shawarma wrap with lettuce, maybe beets, with such a good garlic tzatziki sauce. Loved the soft wrap too. Got it at the farmer’s market in Katonah wrapped in tin foil and ready to go. Only drawback was it was tiny, would have loved a larger portion for $13. Would try the lamb next time. 5 stars!!!
