I am so sad to say that the quality seems to be declining. I purchased 2 bags of frozen pierogies - jalapeno & cheddar and cheddar and potato. Unfortunately over half of the pierogies weren't sealed when I cooked them. I cooked them within 30 minutes of purchasing. Because of this, many were flooded with water and the filling flavor was watered down. I also had a few that had huge pieces of potatoes, one was half of the pierogie. I'm incredibly disappointed for $15/dozen. The service was excellent though, the cashier was incredibly helpful and sweet.
You foodies know you love this stuff. Specialty restaurants that do one unique thing and they do that unique thing right. Well Inna’s pierogis does pierogis right. I am Lithuanian/Ukrainian and these are the best I have had in the area. Highly recommend.
We were looking for a place that we could sit down and eat a variety of pierogi, and that brought us to Inna's. Not a lot of inside seating, if it's nice outside, there's more seating there. I wanted to try the cheesesteak pierogi, but they were out. I was disappointed, but we were there at 2 pm before they close for two days, so that's on me. I did grab some frozen ones to try at home. The ones we did try were delicious and filling.
$12 for five Pierogi is expensive. The positive is that the Pierogi has a good amount of filling for the size. Also they are able to be cooked crispy and brown. However, the filling is not seasoned, it’s tasteless. Going to Pittsburgh and visiting Polish Hill has given me the experience of genuine polish food. I appreciate the story of the owner and being connected to family tradition but the price and the flavor is not it. One side condiment (sour cream, garlic cream, etc) is included. You pay extra for additional condiment and fried onions. The inside is very basic with little paper packets of salt and pepper.
Good food, good service. This is a cute, casual spot for some pierogi and kielbasa. We loved almost everyyhing about it. The only complaints are that it's a bit pricey for the amount of food, and if eating in, your clothes will smell like the food they're cooking because there is no air circulation so air is trapped in the shop. Will be back hopefully for a 5-star next visit.
