Alden House B&B

Brian and Jeff were excellent hosts and Cindy provide tasty breakfast selections. Oh, and before I forget, breakfast included dessert! Who knew?! We reserved the #2 suite and there was plenty of room to relax and catch up on movies and news before turning in to the comfortable bedroom. If the weather cooperated, we could have sat outside on our own patio. We would recommend this suite over any of the Main Street rooms, if possible, to avoid street noise. We came for the Snow Geese but would stay at the Alden House in Lititz any time.

We returned to Alden House this week and were happy to see the wonderful changes the new owners made to the Bed and Breakfast. On our last visit, we stayed in the Carriage House and liked the roominess and the amenities.We reserved the room again and really liked the changes that Jeff and Brian made. We are early risers, so we liked the Keurig and had coffee and biscotti before the delicious breakfast. The breakfast chef is very creative and prepared uniquely flavored breads, eggs and desserts. Jeff and Brian are welcoming and cordial. They told us a bit more about Rock Lititz which was interesting. Alden House has the perfect location in this very walkable town.

Alden House is in the top tier of B&Bs in my opinion. The house and the rooms are well decorated with attention to every detail. The vibe is very relaxed and historic. Breakfast was perfect with variety every day, including a little home baked item for dessert. The location is the best! Every part of town is walkable from Alden House. Jeff and Dori were very congenial hosts. Book well ahead if possible, especially on weekends.

This was the first time my wife and I stayed here. Conveniently located in downtown, which was perfect for the Fire and Ice Festival. This is a very clean place to stay. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The breakfast they gave us were delicious. Brian and Jeff were very nice, and very accommodating. If we come to Lids again we will definitely.

Lititz is a super cute Pennsylvania town. My wife and I were happy to stay with Jeff & Brian. Well-maintained and period furnished, Alden House has the charm you're looking for and the modern heat, AC, no worries plumbing, etc. "must haves". Freshly prepared breakfasts, with attention to dietary restrictions, accommodating Gluten-free and more. We loved the facility, and our only quibble was a quite creaky original floor.
