Speedwell Forge Bed & Breakfast

Lovely! My husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary by staying here and seeing the gorgeous wolves. We stayed in the quaint Whyte House cabin, and it was cozy, comfortable and wonderfully furnished -not to mention spotlessly clean! ||Few Highlights: |-Love the huge whirlpool tub. |-Everything you could need was provided.|-The beds and couch were comfortable, and the cabin itself is charmingly restored and gorgeously decorated.|-Hearing the wolves howling from the cabin was such a phenomenal experience. |-The grounds are also beautiful and in additional to wolves we saw kitties, chickens, squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, a pheasant and a groundhog. | |Thanks, Maggie, for the friendly welcome and providing all the info and Dawn, for the absolutely scrumptious breakfasts. 10/10, had a great time. Enjoyed the wolf tour, walked around Main St and went to Aarons Bookstore among other nice shops. Had a very good breakfast 2 days and staff was attentive and extremely nice. Will stay here again, highly recommend.

I surprised my husband for his birthday to a weekend at the Speedwell Forge Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the summer kitchen cottage, it was quaint, adorable and had everything we needed and was within a short walk to where the wolves are. You are able to walk the beautiful property and visit with the wolves at leisure between sunrise and sunset, however I totally recommend taking the tour they offer. Our guide was awesome and we got to see and hear the back stories of a lot of the packs that currently reside here. Dawn the proprietor and Maggie her assistant are amazing ladies. They were around if you needed them, but also provided you with privacy to relax and unwind. We enjoyed a few cocktails at the outside patio often enjoying the distant howls of the wolves. If you're looking for the perfect refuge for peace, serenity and nature, accompanied by the music of birds and howling wolves look no further! Where do I begin? This is my third tme staying at Speedwell Forge B&B . Each time I found I never wanted to leave the premise! I always bring in all my lunches and dinners at once from a local restaurant for the full 3 days. Its a destination vacation ! You can spend hours just walking the perimeter trail taking in the beauty of the grounds, watching the wolves and getting to know them. That's what I came for most.
