Inn the Ground

A stay at Inn the Ground should be prescribed to cure anxiety. The moment you step into the lobby you are greeted by a sense of calm and nature. The common rooms include games, refreshments, and great views. Even on a rainy day the fire pit is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of Smith tea and listen to the frogs and crickets chirp. The rooms are spacious and have ample storage space to unpack so you can pretend that you live there. Your own patio overlooks the hills, pond, and hiking trails. The staff are warm and friendly and we took advantage of their concierge service to book complimentary wine tastings at local wineries. To end our stay we had a great breakfast that included fresh ingredients from their farm. We truly cant wait to return.

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and LOVED it. The vibes are modern but warm. The staff is incredibly friendly. They serve daily breakfast from their farm and it’s the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. They have a gym and pickleball courts available down the road and lots of trails on property. The trail by the gym is creekside and really nice. I sat by the creek and put my feet in for a bit. Really amazing, relaxing vibes. No restaurant on property for lunch or dinner but there is a common area kitchen available with snacks and stuff to prepare your own food if you want. We went on the tour of the farm and loved it. I highly recommend a stay at Inn the Ground.

Wow. This place is a real dream! The building and rooms were gorgeous. Check in was easy, shout out to Grace who was wonderful and helpful! You get a tour when you check in and fresh cookies. The views from your room were unmatched. It was what we looked forward to each morning. Breakfast was amazing. Our entire trip was great and we will definitely come back. The only thing is you do have to venture out to eat lunch and dinner. Other than that 100/10.

It's hard to describe how special Inn The Ground is, you really have to experience it for yourself. The architecture is superb, the service and staff are exceptional, the view breathtaking, and every little detail is curated with a thoughtful touch. I will be telling EVERYONE to treat themselves to this Oregon treasure. Just book it now; rest, breathe, put your bare feet on the earth, sleep nestled into the ground, eat, drink, recharge! This spot is everything you're looking for, I promise!

Highly recommend a stay at Inn the Ground in autumn.  You will come away with a feeling of such peace.  Every area of this lovely lodging is restful and comfortable.  The view from your personal patio is over the bucolic sheep pasture and valley, the hills and even Mt. Hood if the conditions are right.  The sunrises are breathtaking.  Walking the forest paths is a balm for your soul.  A visit to a nearby winery (so many to choose from!) just adds to this unique adventure.  We cannot wait for our next stay in this beautiful Inn.
