Inn at Huntingfield Creek and Getaway Cottages

Peaceful and romantic getaway! Jim and Joanne have curated a cozy escape for city folks to explore the Eastern Shore’s countryside. We loved the cozy and comfortable room and the buffet breakfast. Our favorite place on our wintery visit over Valentine’s weekend was the library, complete with cozy reading chairs and sofas, free beverage options and a stove. They have adorable dogs who want to greet you. The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is a convenient place to explore Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge and the charming town of Rock Hall. We will absolutely be back! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here the same night that we attended a concert at The Mainstay. Perfect location since it’s only 2 miles away. We stayed in the Zen Cottage, which was spotless and equipped with bathrobes, slippers, a gas fireplace, kitchenette, jetted tub, and excellent linens and pillows. The breakfast in the main house was good and the conversation with the other guests was pleasant. I enjoyed a walk around the grounds, but would love to come see the grounds in the warmer months. The icing on the cake is that the owners mailed my makeup kit to me that I had foolishly left behind in the bathroom drawer. I highly recommend this place!

inn at Huntingfield was accommodating and friendly. check in was effortless and staff provided a quick tour. Our Zen cottage was lovely and private. The dual sided fireplace and soaking tub were highlights. The sofa could have been more comfortable but I doubt it is an issue in the warmer months when more time is spent outside. We didn’t get up for breakfast or enjoy any of the amenities within the house itself but all was inviting. The pups were great and checked’ on us a few times :) the walk to the water is enjoyable and not far. Looking forward to returning in the summer.

The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is a magical oasis. My friends and I have been coming there every December for 7 years now. The Inn keepers, Jim and Joanne, make us feel at home and help us create a special weekend to connect and celebrate our decades long friendship. From the gorgeous private cabins, to the sunset views, to the barn space that allows for us to all gather together (over 35 people!), everything about our time at the Inn is just so special.

This is one of the best places we have every stayed. My husband and I went there for a getaway weekend and absolutely loved it. The cottage was thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated, the grounds were amazing, and the chef-made breakfast was above an beyond what we expected (and very delicious). The staff are excellent. We will be back, for sure.
