Ikebana

I was in Salisbury for a 3-week work trip and we were trying to look for some decent food around our hotel, we ended up coming here 2 to 3 times a week! The food was consistently fresh and delicious every single visit. We got to try several items, and their special rolls and nigiri were my favorites. The service was excellent too, friendly, attentive, and quick. The restaurant during dinner can get busy, but the turn over isn't too bad either. If I ever come back to the area, this will definitely be my go-to spot for sushi!

I was on a work trip & ate here for dinner since it was walking distance from my hotel. And I like Japanese food. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. The inside of the restaurant is quite nice, but you'd never know from how plain it looks on the exterior. I ordered a nigiri sushi 🍣 appetizer platter. For my entree, I got the hibachi NY strip steak. And for dessert, I got the fried banana. Portions were generous. The food was tasty, seasoned well, & cooked just right. The sushi was fresh. I was so full & still had sizeable leftovers. My server was friendly, & my food came out very fast. Prices were reasonable. This was a much better sushi restaurant than another one I tried in Crystal City Arlington, VA. Who knew that the good sushi is in small town Salisbury, MD rath

Very nice atmosphere. You wouldn't know how nice it is from the outside. Fairly large menu with decent prices. $$ Get the Tempura Shrimp and the Egg Roll appetizers. The Teriyaki menu has good choices. Service was paced well and above average! ★★★★☆

Food was very good until recent ownership change. The previous owners would never serve rolls with soggy, chewy seaweed and rubbery cold eel. The roll was obviously premade and had been sitting. Soybeans were cold and not cooked well. Husband bowl wasn’t great, either. In all our MANY, MANY years of frequenting this establishment, I’ve never been served a poor meal until this ownership change. Ikebana has always been our favorite place for sushi so to say we’re disappointed is an understatement. I hope the food improves and the new owners figure out you can’t serve subpar food and expect loyal customers to stay.
