Hoobie's NY Pizza

If you’re not used to getting there, it can be a bit odd. But it feels like an old Papa John’s with old Domino’s/Pizza Hut flavor. Get in, get your pizza, talk for a minute, then get moving. 14” meat lovers, light sauce. Pizza is great, chewy so only a 4 star on the food for that, but still good. Light sauce was actually light. Toppings were good. You won’t get the national brand uniformity here. If you were alive for 1980s/90s Dominos/Pizza Hut, you’ll know.

We’ve been in Wilmington for almost 3 years. Was starting to give up on the pizza here. Italian bistro is inconsistent, Brooklyn Pizza is mids and expensive. Marbella you might as well just get their bagels. Hoobie’s is the spot. Inexpensive, quality toppings, and a big pie. Great stuff.

Take it from a former pizza guy — this spot is the real deal! It’s got that authentic, old-school flavor that takes me right back to the mom-and-pop shop where I first learned to toss dough. Hands down one of the best pies around!

This is the best pizza place in Wilmington!!! Their staff go above and beyond for their customers and are always friendly!! Always!!! If you like gyros, they have one on their appetizer menu... It's delicious and for the price, I can't believe how big it is!!! You gotta try this place if you haven't yet!! It is worth driving there and picking up!! Do yourself a favor and try Hoobies Pizza!!! Your stomach will Thank You!!! Yum!!!

Visited here for the first time today and I’m hooked!! The pizza was absolutely fantastic..ssssooo yummy!! This is some of the best pizza I have ever had. The staff there are super friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!! Highly recommend!!!
