Hog wild country cafe

First time here & won’t be my last. It’s a perfect location for those traveling between Ocala/Gainesville/St Aug/Jax. But it’s also a favorite with the locals. Place was crowded on a Sat eve with up to a 1 hour wait. (Yea, it’s that good). I had the brisket sandwich with fries & it was cooked to perfection. Service was a bit slow, but I’ll never complain about getting a fresh, home cooked meal. Def give them a try.

This was our first time at Hog Wild Country Cafe & it couldn't have been better! We ordered the 10oz Ribeye steak, on special, & it was tender, juicy & delicious! Also had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, also made with the ribeye & moist, tender, delicious!! Our sides were fries & onion rings, both were hot & crispy! And had the collards & loved them! Service is great & prices reasonable. Will be back to try some of their other specialties. Apparently if you want to try the meatloaf you have to get there before dinner, it was gone when we arrived at 5 PM. Next time, for 😃! Kudos to the staff, management & owners for some very satisfying food in a nice homey atmosphere! We'll come again.

Recently our mother passed away and you guys assisted in providing delicious trays to the gathering. Your BBQ is the BEST -this side of Texas- as far as I am concerned! I've eaten ribs from all over the world and Europe as well the U.S. and you guys have the technique down to a special science. I appreciate you and will be returning as a patron! Had a mixed experience on all levels. Chicken tenders were nice and moist, but fillet texture of fish sandwich was inedible. Waitress was kind and responsive, but hostess left us standing through about four people paying. Only one of the two front double doors was open, which is incredibly annoying when you have a line waiting to pay and a line waiting to be seated standing in front of it.

This is a true local gem. The BBQ and steaks are consistently excellent and never disappoint — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. We’ve been coming here for many years, and the quality has always remained outstanding. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff and owners are genuinely kind, caring, and always go out of their way to make each meal feel special. You’re treated like family from the moment you walk in. Great food, great service, and a place that truly adds something special to our town.
