Hinkle's Hamburgers

A no frills dive with made to order burgers, sandwiches and sides! Super tasty, decently priced with some cozy seating. A Bloomington MUST!

Great ambiance, such friendly service, big old smiles and helpful. Signs all around the building to keep you entertained and very nicely 1930s low prices (about $5 per item). The burger tho, sadly did not impress :( not any seasoning, just gray ground beef mushed together and not really held together. Fries, not hot when they came out, and there was a hair :p. Ketchup and salt saved the day. Great ambiance and vibe the whole building

Did not like the chili. Served in a cup. Had a LOT of ground beef. No beans. Not much seasoning. Cheeseburger deluxe was greasy and sloppy. Recommend to hold the cheese and mayo. Flavor was just ok. I used to love this place. Onion rings were fantastic..as were the fries.

There were 4 of us, and everything was cooked to perfection! Their burgers are everything you'd want! We recommend the double hinkle, and make it a deluxe! The mushrooms, fries, poppers, and onion rings were delicious!

Hinkles is just an old school burger joint and they typically nail it. The menu is pretty straight forward burgers, fries, onion rings and that is pretty much what you get but honestly it is all you need. I can't say much else besides go try a burger and see what the fuss is about. You can see and smell the meat cooking on the flat top and it's pretty awesome. You are just a fan of a damn good burger you have found it. Nothing special about the ve ue but the staff is always nice and the food is always cooked to order and fresh. One of my absolutely favorite burgers in Bloomington. Easy to drive by based on the unassuming appearance but you won't be unhappy you stopped. If you have to wait a bit for your food its because it cooked when you order it.
