Highside Brewing & BBQ - Frisco

Stopped in early afternoon with a friend and it wasn't busy. We sat at the bar where staff was very friendly and we were served quickly. Our food came out fast. Everything was wonderful and we LOVED the smoked salmon. We got the large nachos and salads. I cannot express how delicious the nachos were! Very happy we came in and we plan to return!

We stopped by for a bite and some beers on our way to Breckenridge. Food was good, beers were better, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Some of the meats were a little overcooked and dry. The side dishes and appetizers we tried were good but nothing memorable. The overall ambiance was consistent with most brew houses. Was a little concerned when two dogs in the restaurant got into a little fight with each other and might suggest not allowing pets.

One of the best BBQ places in Colorado. The smoke, moisture, and flavor hit the palette perfectly. Located juat a few minutes off I-70, Highside BBQ has easy parking and plenty of space for any party size. This dog and family friendly spot features an outdoor seating area for the four legged friends and an arcade for children of all ages. This local brewery also provides almost two dozen crafted beers from the stout to the sweet. My favorite was the Mexican Candy draft My server was attentive and professional and there was no wait for service during lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for their BBQ, ambiance, amd draft beer.

Was excited to see CO BBQ for a change but was not impressed. Had the brisket. It only comes in 1/2 lb size, nothing smaller. More than 1/2 of the brisket was pure fat. Some fat is ok but this was excessive and was not edible unless you like eating pure fat. Not worth $20 in my opinion. Plus it was very bland for smoked brisket. Its also disappointing that they only have 2 sauce choices, a regular and a mustard one. Come for the atmosphere and maybe beer but, skip the brisket!

What a great local spot! The customer service, staff and owners were AMAZING! Total chill environment, fireplace, pet friendly! All the things! The BBQ was absolutely delicious and the Senior IPA was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Makes me sad I don’t live closer. I’d definitely make it a frequent hangout. No doubt I will return!
