I am very pleased with how prompt Hartselle Utilities was this morning (a Saturday!) in responding to my gas not working. Yesterday they worked on a leak out here and had to shut off the gas and since I was not home when they completed their project, they couldn’t turn it on and light the pilot lights inside the house. I called this morning when I noticed my stove was not working and they responded within 15 minutes. Both were very nice and polite but I failed to get their names. I just wanted to put a good word in for them today for their promptness on a weekend morning. Thanks guys!!

Really need to watch them and Never ever let them auto draft for your payment, they will abuse the situation..

This place is terrible. I moved apartment was from up to down stairs, and was gonna be behind on bills due to my husband leaving for training. Military training at that. Well I got my power cut off, after being told the bill from upstairs wouldn't effect my power downstairs. Well I call and she keeps repeating her staff wouldn't say that, then when I told her I will get them in trouble for wrong information and cutting power off on my kids when I made sure. She then told me if I could at least pay, which at that time I could, but she will waive the fee. Well guess what? That fee she "waived" is on my bill. So yeah. When I say I'm done, I'm gonna turn in his orders from being gone. And get them in trouble for turning off power, for a bill I couldn't pay while he was gone. Btw it's illegal i

UPDATE!! 2/04/25 bill is 467.00 this time!! I keep my temp on 64 no matter what, and i discovered why the bill is so high, have had two toilet leaks ,proof is on the bill over $100 per month in water alone, HU said i had no leak, well i do!! And the meter is not registering it! Had plumbing company come out and they told me this is why my bill is high. HU said if it wasn't registering it would be low,well it registers the sink and tub running, but not the toilets. The meter is old ,like me! Needs replacing. now the bill has jumped to almost 400 for August!! i do not know who are reading the meters!! / Smh in distress!! At least Joe Wheeler will work with ya.
