Hargrave House Bed & Breakfast

We were in Doylestown for our annual family reunion and stayed at Hargrave House. This is a delightful historic B&B. Built in 1814. We stayed in Room 2 on the first floor. The room was large, clean, and the furniture and bed were comfortable. The decor was quirky in a good way. The furniture was not standard motel. They were appropriate for an old house. Don't expect outlets and USB ports everywhere for your electronics. Remember, this is an old house with thick solid and plaster walls, which makes running electricity a huge challenge. But there were enough sockets to plug in your electronics and chargers. I'd suggest bringing long cords, however, just sayin' since the plugs may not be in the most convenient location based on modern definitions of convenient. We didn't go up to the sittin

The hubs and I stayed two nights here. The hostess is extremely friendly and welcoming. There were snacks available all day and a hot breakfast in the morning. The room was large, comfy and very clean. We will definitely be back!

Highly enjoyed our stay at Hargrave House! Parking was easy and the innkeeper, Sophia, was so friendly and genuinely wants to make you feel like you’re staying with a friend or family member. Our room was huge, impeccably clean, and stocked well. The bed was SO comfortable, I looked forward to going to sleep every night! Great water pressure in the shower and the water got very hot. The location was excellent and it’s easy to walk anywhere in Doylestown from this spot. We didn’t need to use our car at all! For being right on the main drag of Doylestown, we found our room was quiet and was easy to make dark with the provided shades. The hot breakfast provided was simple, but delicious, and I loved that there were always snacks available in the dining area. The cookies were delicious and

I booked Hargrave House for the weekend of my wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made through the whole process! Sophia was WONDERFUL to work with and went above and beyond to make us feel absolutely at home for our special weekend. The ambiance and coziness of the house made any wedding day nerves or anxieties fall away. The weekend was perfect and I owe a lot of that to our experience at Hargrave. We can't wait to visit for as many anniversaries as Sophia/Hargrave will have us for!

This is an historic hotel with lots of character. Sophia is the perfect host and really made us feel welcome. Our room was huge and had everything we needed. There’s free parking at the rear of the hotel and it’s perfectly located in the centre of town. Good food and bars are literally a 2 minute walk away. ||It’s a short drive to New Hope, a lovely historic town and Peddler’s Village if you want to shop.||Sophia cooked us a lovely breakfast and we really enjoyed our stay.
