Harford County Public Library: Abingdon

This library is beautiful! It has a very open layout with big windows that look into the scenery surrounding it. There are many chairs and tables spread throughout the whole library along with outlets to charge/plug in your devices. This place is seriously huge with so many computers & bays of books. I couldn't believe the 3 little reading nooks in the wall!!! Omg they are soo cute. How cool is that! They also have an innovation lab and soo many arts and crafts and hands on activities for littles. You can even check out a tote bag to carry your books! This place is amazing!!! The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. They also have a drive-thru!!! I just happened to be in the area and had some time to kill and I'm so happy I was able to visit. I wish I lived closer otherwise

My Favorite Library Ever!! Cant explain the vibes. THE ATMOSPHERE ALONE THE BOOKS THE WONDERFUL NEW RELEASES.. The beautiful floor to ceiling windows. You could read for Dayss. In love Why Buy Books? Return and be happy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

One of my favorite libraries in Maryland. The staff is very helpful and polite. The grounds are well maintained. They also let children rent toys which is something I never knew a library did.

Very loud library, can’t get any studying or reading done unless you have really good noise cancellation headphones, and the kids just run around like no one is watching them.

August 2025: The special ed kids/adults constantly follow me around, harassing me, and I have to wear headphones and pretend I can't hear them. The staff also just throw away your 3d prints and dont tell you after you wasted several hours waiting for a printer to be available. And tell you "sorry" in a condescending tone, while cutting you off while you speak. Basically like "sucks to suck" --- July 2025: I recommend noise canceling headphones. If youre looking for a quieter space to do things, go to literally any other library. If youre looking for a place to be loud and obnoxious without getting told its a library and to quiet down, this is the library for you. There is a open kids play area with no barriers to dampen the sound from the rest of the library. This is also the hango
