As a St. Albans property owner and taxpayer, I’m grateful that we have such an amazing community pool! That being said, this pool is an absolute travesty that is entirely mismanaged. I am deeply concerned by the current state of the facility and its management. The pool’s cleanliness is currently unacceptable. Debris, sand, and litter are frequently found in the water, and the restroom facilities are consistently poorly maintained. While I understand the need for safety, and appreciate the opportunity that the lifeguard program presents… The current enforcement of rules feels arbitrary and aggressive toward families, while failing to address actual safety hazards. Today, while trying to help my five-year-old in a quiet area to avoid rowdy behavior, we were reprimanded by a lifeguard for a

The options for food could be improved. Lunchables are the healthiest option. I bought some. They were awful. Granola bars and/or protein bars would be better. The pool water is warm enough once you get used to it. But it takes a few minutes. If it were less expensive it would likely be very crowded, so understand the price strategy. And since the locals built it, they get a better deal. That's cool.

As others have mentioned, the facilities themselves are great, but the cost for non residents is outrageous. $16 per person, and that includes parents who are not using the pool. For a family of 4 (to be specific, two older kids swimming, and two adults outside the pool in regular clothes, watching from the side chairs) it is $64. In summary that's $64 for two kids to go swimming... Hence one reviewer's justified comment about 'theme park pricing'. It's just plain weird that they charge this much.

So, I think the pool itself is great. I understand that the taxpayers of St. Albans paid for the pool, what is sad is that all children in surrounding towns cannot afford to swim there. You charge way too much for non residents. There are no other options for swimming in surrounding towns. You even Charge people an outrageous amount to sit and watch their children swim, it is criminal. Why not make it affordable so all children can enjoy it? These people support St. Albans in other ways. Shopping in stores, farmers markets, eating in restaurants. I just can't wrap my head around the unfairness if this.

Great pool, so happy it's available year round! Nice locker room, and two showers. My only issue, it's not always 82 degrees despite what they tell you. I brought a pool thermometer several times, it registered in the upper 70's. Too cold for me!
