Harborview Inn

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in the Rockport room to celebrate our 40 year anniversary. No view, but very clean and comfortable. Daily cleaning and fresh towels! The complimentary breakfast was lovely, with the dining room view of the ocean and Stacey Boulevard. One day we walked north to Eastern Point lighthouse. The next day, south to Ravenswood and StageFort Park. Last day a short but scenic drive to spend the day in Rockport. John Orlando was a perfect host and his dog Skipper was a charming addition.

My stay was wonderful! The room was extremely comfortable, and the bed and breakfast itself was absolutely beautiful. John, the innkeeper, was incredibly kind and a pleasure to talk to. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. I would gladly stay here again!

Our experience at the Harborview Inn was deeply disappointing and frustrating. While the property itself may have potential, the accommodations and service fell far short of our expectations, leaving us unhappy with both the stay and the resolution of our concerns.||Uninhabitable Room Conditions| From the outset, the room proved to be unsuitable. Our visit was in Mid-January. On our first night, we were freezing despite wearing our winter down jackets indoors. The thermostat, which we had not control over, was set to 65 degrees, which is unreasonably low for January. Unfortunately, the host did not respond to our plea for assistance until 11 PM, a delay that added to the discomfort. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms and clean, quaint, and charming, and the breakfast is refreshing. The inn is located a few minutes from downtown Gloucester, making it very convenient. The owner, John, is very welcoming and gave great recommendations of restaurants and sightseeing. He is knowledgeable about local history and makes for great breakfast conversations.

Absolutely lovely! Bright and cheery, dignified yest relaxed bed and breakfast. We have stayed at many and this is up there as one of the best. Staff is warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming which creates a lovely ambiance. Continental breakfast was very good ( if you want a full breakfast there are a couple of places nearby) The Harborview is immaculately clean, bed was very comfortable etc. Reasonably priced, just super. We look forward to returning!
